Do you have access to your school logos and crests? What about those professional photos of the different teams and clubs that are taken for the yearbooks and game programs? Do you think that maybe the students at your school would like to have something useful, inexpensive, fun, and ruggedly durable? Why you could even give some or all of your business sponsors another reason to buy an ad to support the school.
This is a new product but the creators, Lewis Color, Inc., have been around since 1961. They have researched and refined this product for months and months. They use only Heidelberg presses of which the German company itself touts the following: ” A Heidelberg press is a high-tech device consisting of up to 100,000 parts and components. The work that takes place along the entire production chain has to be accurate to within a thousandth of a millimeter and error-free. The end product, consisting of up to 50 tons of cast iron and electronics, has to function with greater precision than a Swiss watch“ (emphasis added). In other words, this ain’t the copier in the closet down the hall. Lewis Color, Inc., already in business for almost five decades, cares enough to use the best commercial presses that money can buy to make your newest asset to your club’s fund-raising efforts the best that it can be.
Each cover will hold up to 8 ads, charge what you want
Alright, enough suspense already, John. The new product that will help solve your club’s shortage of cash is………….customizable notebooks. Put your school crest, club crest, or business logo on the front cover. Heck, one of those cool pics of the Senior players or cheerleaders or the band ……….you get the idea. If you own the photo or have permission to use a photo, logo, crest, banner then you can make your own 72 page, full-sized (8 1/2 in. x 11 in.) standard-ruled notebook. It even has a standard 3-hole punch if you want to put it in a separate 3-ring binder notebook. You can pick among 9 coil colors too (orders of at least 100 notebooks).
The creators want to get this off the ground quickly so they have okayed that the back cover of the notebook can be imprinted for FREE and both inside covers can be imprinted for only an additional half-dollar per notebook. Not just black and white either, this is full-blown, eye-popping, vibrant color print.
Sell the inside back cover too.
An example would be to sell your entire back page to your school or club sponsors for $1,500, the inside front cover for $1,000 and the back inside cover for $750 (based on 1,000 notebooks). That’s a total of $3,250. (Each page holds up to 8 business card size ads so thats 24 happy sponsors.) Your school raises funds by selling a unique product that students need at a reasonable price and your sponsors get valuable exposure in the process.

- An order of 1,000 notebooks with the same front cover and ads on the other three covers (2 inside and the back) and shipped to the Atlanta area is about $3.20 per notebook or $3,200.
- An order of 1,000 notebooks split between two different front covers and ads on the other three covers (2 inside and the back) and shipped to the Atlanta area is about $3.40 per notebook or $3,400.
- An order of 1,000 notebooks split between 4 different front covers and ads on the other three covers (2 inside and the back) and shipped to the Atlanta area is about $3.60 per notebook or $3,600.
- We estimate that they could be sold for between $3.75 – $4.00. Assuming that ads are sold for $3,250 and an order for 4 different covers is $3,600, revenues of $3,750 (sell notebooks for $3.75 each), the school has made $3,400, not too shabby a return for little risk.
